Educational Application of College Music History Theory Course Based on the Multimedia Computing of MOOC Technology
The purpose of the study is to explore the application of Massive Open Online Courses (MOCC) technology in college music history theory courses. In the study, the Browser/Server (B/S) model was adopted to design the MOOC music history theory course, and through the questionnaire survey of college students, the demand degree of college students for the “MOOC music history theory” course was understood, and the reasons affecting the demand degree were analyzed. The results showed that before choosing to enroll in “MOOC music history theory”, students paid more attention to the degree to which this method would improve their current learning status, and how much it would help them acquire knowledge and improve learning efficiency. Students’ interests in online learning were still limited to traditional teacher-centered premium courses and open online courses. For the new learning method of MOOC, they concerned more about how much the learning method could change the previous state of online learning, and whether the new learning method could be more effective than the previous channels to obtain knowledge. Compared with performance expectation, effort expectation had no significant influence on students’ willingness to enroll in “MOOC music history theory” course, which was mainly due to students’ lack of practical experience in MOOC platform. It was difficult to truly understand the ease of use of the MOOC platform and the number of problems when using the platform from written expression and oral explanation alone. Therefore, perceived usefulness was a key factor for students to choose the “MOOC music history” course. The paper has made up many shortcomings in traditional teaching modes and created a dynamic and upgraded learning environment for students, raising the interests of students as well as promoting the efficiency of both the teaching and learning process in Chinese universities.
